Virginia Lacrosse Adds Two More Talented Playmakers to 2025 Recruiting Class

Lars Tiffany's Wahoos landed commitments from a five-star LSM and a four-star lefty attackman this weekend

Lars Tiffany and the Cavaliers added two more talented playmakers to their impressive 2025 recruiting class for the Virginia men's lacrosse program over the weekend.

Five-star long-stick midfielder Robby Hopper announced his commitment to UVA on Saturday. A supremely athletic 6'5" LSM who plays three sports at Archbishop Spalding High School in Maryland, Hopper is the No. 1-ranked LSM in the class of 2025. According to Inside Lacrosse's Ty Xanders, Hopper has drawn comparisons to Jared Conners, a standout LSM who was named the 2021 Midfielder of the Year and led Virginia to two national titles.

Virginia now has two of the top three LSMs in the country, as Hopper joins fellow five-star and No. 13 overall recruit Will Pedicano, who committed to UVA last month

The Cavaliers also picked up a commitment from four-star attackman Preston Evans on Monday morning. Hailing from the Belmont Hill School in Massachusetts, Evans is called "arguably a top five lefty attackman" in his class by Ty Xanders.

Virginia's 2025 recruiting class now includes seven recruits, including two five-stars and five four-stars as well as five players who rank in the top 50 of the Inside Lacrosse class of 2025 recruiting rankings. Tiffany and the Cavaliers are still in the hunt for Brendan Millon, the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2025 and the younger brother of McCabe Millon, the No. 1 recruit in the 2023 recruiting class who is currently a freshman at Virginia. Pairing the Millon brothers together as a future tandem on UVA's attack line remains the top objective for the Hoos in this recruiting class.
