Early Heisman Trophy Odds Released by FanDuel
FanDuel Sportsbook recently released odds for a large number of players to win the Heisman Trophy in 2024. If you go on the FanDuel app, you'll be scrolling for a hot minute before you come across the odds for West Virginia QB Garrett Greene.
Despite putting up good numbers in both the pass and run game and leading his team to a nine-win season, Greene is more than a long-shot to win the award, given odds of +20000.
My biggest gripe with the odds is that Greene accomplished more than several other QBs on this list. Some of them such as Oregon's Dante Moore and USC's Miller Moss/Jayden Maiava who will be in a QB competition, aren't even guaranteed to see the field.
How a returning starting quarterback that threw for 2,406 yards and 16 touchdowns while rushing for 772 yards and 13 scores isn't higher on the list is beyond me.
