WVU's Odds to Win the Big 12 Title in 2024

Someone will win a nice-sized prize if West Virginia wins the conference championship.

Would you believe me if I told you West Virginia is being overlooked again? Probably so, but this version of being overlooked can win you some dough if everything breaks right.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, West Virginia has the 10th-best odds to win the Big 12 Conference in 2024.

The Mountaineers are coming off a nine-win season and return starting QB Garrett Greene, RBs Jahiem White and CJ Donaldson, talented young playmakers at receiver, TE Kole Taylor, and an experienced offensive line to go along with a revamped defense.

The schedule may be a little more difficult this fall, particularly the first half of it, but with seven games being played at Mountaineer Field, you should like WVU's chances if they can stay healthy.

Big 12 Title Odds:

Utah (+340)

Kansas State (+360)

Kansas (+650)

Arizona (+750)

Texas Tech (+850)

UCF (+1100)

Iowa State (+1200)

Oklahoma State (+1600)

TCU (+1600)

West Virginia (+1900)

Colorado (+4000)

Baylor (+5500)

Cincinnati (+6500)

Arizona State (+10000)

BYU (+13000)

Houston (+13000)

Big 12 newcomers Utah and Arizona sit in the top four and with the talent they have returning from last year's squads, it makes sense. Is Kansas as good as we think they are? I don't know. I'd have to see them be relevant two years running before I start to believe. And if I'm being honest, I don't get the hype surrounding Texas Tech or UCF. At worst, I expected WVU to have the fifth or sixth-best odds and certainly be ahead of the three aforementioned teams.
