In-State LB Aydin Fleming Commits to WVU as PWO

Another solid addition to West Virginia's walk-on class.

Class of 2024 linebacker Aydin Fleming of Hedgesville High School announced earlier this week that he has committed to West Virginia as a preferred walk-on.

"It’s been a dream of mine since I was a kid to play at WVU," Fleming told Mountaineers Now. "I knew it was home as soon as I stepped on campus. I'll always remember the first WVU game I attended with my friend when they played Kansas State and whooped them. Watching the team come out of the tunnel was really cool. It's going to be moment like no other that I can't wait to experience."

Fleming turned down offers from Dartmouth, Fairmont State, Morehead State, Shepherd, and a few others to stay home and wear the Old Gold and Blue.

"Gaining a scholarship will be the immediate priority when I get on campus. Other than that, I obviously want to have a great career at linebacker."

In his final year of high school ball, Fleming recorded 167 total tackles, 23 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks. He is a two-time member off the All-State team.
