WVU Sits 'Around the Top' for 2025 CB Deuce Edwards

Class of 2025 corner Terrance Edwards recaps his visit to West Virginia.

One of the top cornerbacks in the DMV for the 2025 recruiting class, Terrance "Deuce" Edwards, recently finished up a visit to West Virginia and left with a ton of interest in the program.

"It was great...WVU is a great place to be," Edwards told Mountaineers Now. "Coach ShaDon Brown'S message to me was he personally wants to develop me into the best version of myself and the best CB I can be. He loves my size and physical style of play and how it translates to the Big 12. Coach is a family first guy he took a lot of time with me and my dad letting us know his overall plan for me. He sees me as a top CB and I have to ability to be like some of the guys he coached in the past that became pros like Kei'Trel Clark, Isaiah Oliver and Beanie Bishop this year."

That recent history of putting guys in the NFL carries a lot of weight for recruits and Edwards is no different. Playing on Sundays is a dream of his, just like any other recruit that hopes to make it at the next level.

That said, some of the other schools he is heavily interested in are pumping guys into the NFL just as much such as Clemson, Louisville, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech. WVU will certainly have a battle on its hands, but right now they're in a good spot.

"They're definitely around the top, Edwards said about WVU. "I most definitely could see myself there."

Edwards has visits scheduled with Louisville on the 20th, Virginia Tech on the 27th, and Oklahoma on February 3rd and with his plan to commit around May, these visits will loom large for each school in the mix. The good news is, West Virginia will have him back on campus at some point during spring ball before he announces his college destination.

This past season, he totaled 33 tackles, three interceptions (1 pick for TD), 14 PBUs, one forced fumble and five touchdowns on offense as a wide receiver.
