One such visitor was Brayden Thompson, a 2025 offensive lineman prospect. Thompson had previously participated in a Badgers' camp in June and recently revisited Camp Randall Stadium during the Badgers' win over Georgia Southern.
Hailing from Wisconsin himself, Thompson spoke to Bucky’s 5th Quarter about his visit, "I got to see the campus a little more and that was cool being a hometown kid getting to see more from the football standpoint of the team I’ve grown up watching."
He continued, "I also got to feel a little more of the college town really coming together for the game.”
Big Ten Interest Peaks for Thompson
Standing tall at 6’8, Thompson's stature and potential have attracted attention not only from the Badgers but also from several Big Ten institutions. Notable interests come from Minnesota and Illinois. Apart from Wisconsin, Thompson's itinerary is jam-packed with visits to other universities including Northern Illinois, Northwestern, and Michigan State.
Despite having only two committed players for the 2025 class, the Badgers' pursuit of talents like Thompson indicates their drive to secure a competitive edge in the near future.
