We just saw Philly suffer their first wire-to-wire loss the other night, going down to the Brooklyn Nets as they look to navigate things without Joel Embiid, but we’ve also seen Luka Doncic and the Mavs lose back-to-back games and three of their last four.
In other words, we’re not exactly inclined to trust either side with our Mavericks vs. 76ers prediction. Instead, we’re going to take advantage of oddsmakers’ adjustments with both teams dealing with superstars out of the lineup. Dallas is without Kyrie Irving, while Philly is without Joel Embiid.
That certainly translates to lesser scoring, but there seems to be a bit of an overcorrection in that department.
