Pat Bev Hails Kings’ Speed and Star Power in New Podcast

The Kings were a hot topic for Patrick Beverly's podcast after taking down his Bucks last week.

It's been a successful week for the Sacramento Kings after taking down the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers in two dominant showings. After struggling with both shooting and defending coming out of the All-Star break, Mike Brown's squad looked rejuvenated against some of the NBA's best offenses.

Heading into Tuesday night's game against the Bucks, Sacramento was on a 15-game losing streak against Milwaukee. After nearly a decade, that streak was snapped thanks to a hard-nosed defensive performance. Bucks PG Patrick Beverly, who was traded to the team in early February, talked about the loss on his podcast.

Beverly, who's in his 12th year in the NBA, says he always liked Sacramento. The guard went on to praise the fans who pack out Golden1 Center every night (via @StooliesClub | X):

You know it's gonna be crowded. They got cowbells out there, they're ringing all types of ****. I'm telling you it's so loud in there. It's SO loud. But you know that it's Sac. That's how it is in Sac, it's lit.

Aside from some of the league's best fans, the Kings bring something else to the table every night: elite speed. With De'Aaron Fox leading the way, Beverly compared playing the Kings to a track meet.

Those m*****f****** are fast. I said boys, listen boys, track shoes on. We gonna be up and down today. Oh my goodness, the speed!

Fox was voted the fastest player in the league by NBA GMs before the season, and this factor continues to take priority for teams attempting to defend the former Kentucky superstar. Alongside Fox is Domantas Sabonis, who's been breaking record after record this season.

Later on in the podcast, Beverly would go on to say that he would take Sabonis over the Lakers' Anthony Davis if he had to choose. The Kings reigned victorious over Los Angeles on Wednesday night, marking 10 consecutive wins for Sabonis against AD. Beverly praised both the player and head coach Mike Brown for allowing Sabonis to be so efficient.

The Kings will look to keep up the winning ways as they take on the New York Knicks Saturday night in Sacramento.
