49ers Look Unstoppable on Offense in Dominant 28-16 win Against Seattle

Momentum is a powerful thing in football. And that is something that the San Francisco 49ers have offensively. Just ask the Seattle Seahawks.

Momentum is a powerful thing in football.

And that is something that the San Francisco 49ers have offensively. Just ask the Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers were unstoppable on offense in their dominant win against the Seahawks.

It started that way on the very first play of the game when Christian McCaffrey took a handoff for 72 yards. That would set up a touchdown for Jordan Mason and seem to set the tone for the rest of the game. However, the offense would hit a lull for most of the first half. In a way, it was to be expected. Coming off such a glorious win last week against the Philadelphia Eagles was bound to give the 49ers an emotional letdown.

Looking electric for all four quarters likely wasn't going to happen. But it doesn't matter because the 49ers don't need to be electric for all four quarters against the Seahawks. They were completely outclassing and embarrassing the Seahawks defense. It all starts with Brock Purdy. He started the game off fairly poorly with his decision making, but he would step it up drastically by launching several beautiful passes with two of them leading to touchdowns.

Today's performance had a little bit of everything with Purdy. He delivered from the pocket, chucked it deep with great precision, threaded the needle a few times across the middle or towards the sideline, and showed some off-script ability as well. This is part of why the 49ers are able to excel and be unstoppable on offense.

However, it would be a disservice to give Purdy all the credit, despite how amazing he is playing. The 49ers had three players go for over 100 yards. McCaffrey tallied 145 rushing yards, Brandon Aiyuk had 126 receiving yards for six catches, and Deebo Samuel went off again for 149 receiving on seven catches and two touchdowns. George Kittle was close to 100 yards receiving with 76.

It is completely unfair for a singular offense to have these many playmakers. What is even more unfair is that Samuel is looking like the 2021 version of himself. That version was arguably an MVP candidate who carried the 49ers' offense. So, now the 49ers have 2021 Samuel, an All-Pro in McCaffrey, a prime Aiyuk, and Kittle as an anchor. Mix that together with a quarterback who can optimize them and a brilliant play caller in Kyle Shanahan, and you get an offense that is unstoppable.

The Seahawks couldn't do anything today nor on Thanksgiving. Not even the No. 1 seed Eagles  were able to slow them down last week. At this point, the only thing that can stop the 49ers' offense is themselves.
