4-star corner Corian Gipson announces commitment date. Clemson among leaders.

Clemson is currently projected to land 4-star corner Corian Gipson.

Clemson has just one corner committed to the 2024 class, 4-star Tavoy Feagin out of Florida. That could soon change as the Tigers appear to be the front-runners for another 4-star corner in Corian Gipson out of Lancaster, Texas.

Gipson announced on Twitter that he'll be hosting a commitment ceremony on July 22nd at his high school stadium in Texas. Alabama, TCU, Texas, and Ohio State make up the rest of his top 5. The 6-foot corner is outstanding in coverage, effortlessly running routes for receivers, but the main thing that sticks out in his film is his willingness to come up in run support. Gipson often makes tackles at the line and blows up blockers on the edge.

Gipson is the No. 13 player in Texas for the class of 2025. Clemson signed 3 of the top 60 players out of Texas in 2023. In 2022, the Tigers landed Cade Klubnik, the No. 1 quarterback in the class, out of Austin. As things stand, Clemson is the heavy favorite to land Gipson. On3 and 247 both have him projected to the Tigers.
