Clemson Football: Early Signing Period Preview

Dates and names you need to know as Clemson prepares for this week's early signing period.

Wednesday will launch a three-day signing period for the class of 2024 football recruits. Most Power 5 programs will sign a majority of their classes over the next few days.

For Clemson, they'll be looking to lock in their top-20 class, while trying to flip a few key players from other programs.

The Tigers currently have the 15th-best class according to 247's composite rankings, a group that's headlined by 5-star linebacker Sammy Brown and 5-star wide receiver Bryant Wesco.

A couple of spots Clemson could be looking to add are offensive line and linebacker. The Tigers recently offered 3-star linebacker CJ Kubah-Taylor out of Good Counsel (Olney, MD), the same school as 4-star commit Darien Mayo. They're also a finalist for 4-star linebacker Bradley Shaw out of Hoover, Alabama. Arkansas seems to be the favorite right now, but never count out Swinney when it comes to recruiting players from Alabama.

As for the offensive line, new offensive line coach Matt Luke offered Elyjah Thurmon - Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA - this past week and there seems to be a chance the Tigers flip 3-star offensive tackle Mason Wade away from Duke.
