While South Carolina Gamecock baseball fans are happy about Mark Kingston's squad defeating the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs on Tuesday night, they're now ready for what some term the biggest rivalry in all of college baseball: South Carolina versus Clemson. Everything about the series is top-tier: the talent on the field and in the dugout, the series setup, and above all, the passion both fanbases bring in the stands.

After tonight's win, Kingston was asked about what he's learned about his team as they set their sights on the Tigers this weekend. Mark gave a prototypical coach-speak answer while offering some general insight into his team's performance to this point.

"Obviously, it's a big weekend; it's gonna be fun for a lot of people, fans, coaches, players, everybody involved. Right now we're 8-1 and that's what I know about our team is that we're winning most of the games we play. I think we're pitching at a very high level. I think our hitters are continuing to get better and I think our defense is continuing to get better. So we'll go out there and compete as hard as we can just like they will, and we'll see what happens."
