Top Hoop Target to Decide Tonight
Askew, a 6-3 combo guard from Mater Dei HS, will announce his decision at 8:00 p.m. Tucson time on ESPN. Arizona, Kentucky, Louisville and Memphis make up his final four teams, but Kentucky is considered the favorite.
Louisville and Kentucky have been rumored as his top-two schools and UK really made a push since the team offered him a scholarship in the summer.
Arizona has been on Askew as long as anyone and the 5-star prospect was on hand for the Red Blue Game last month.
Askew is currently a 2021 prospect but is considering re-classifying to the 2020 class, however, a decision will not be made until after the high school season.
Arizona has recruited well at Mater Dei HS. Reggie Geary, Miles Simon and Stanley Johnson are among the Wildcat greats who played at the school in Santa Ana, CA.
