Arizona extended an offer to 6-9 power forward Sadraque Nganga of Hillcrest Academy. The 2022 prospect has been drawing rave reviews and is rated as a 247Composite 5-star prospect and is currently a top-20 prospect in the 2022 class.

Originally from Angola, Nganga played at Compass Prep last season before transferring to Hillcrest. He grew up a soccer player but took up basketball in 2015. Billed as a terrific athlete for his size, his basketball skillset has begun to catch up to his raw athleticism.

Hillcrest has several other Wildcat targets on their roster, most notably guard Dalen Terry who is already committed to Arizona.

One of the main reasons the Wildcats paid the visit to Hillcrest was to check in on 2020 target Puff Johnson. The 6-7 Johnson is new to the state after playing the bulk of his career in Pennsylvania. He is the younger brother of Phoenix Suns rookie Cameron Johnson who considered transferring to Arizona before settling on North Carolina. His father played with Sean Miller at Pitt and the Wildcats are considered a favorite along with the Tar Heels.

The program also boasts 6-10 frontcourt player Michael Foster. The 2021 five-star prospect was once committed to Arizona State but has re-opened his recruitment. According to Rivals.com’s Cory Evans the Wildcats have offered. Georgia is a strong player for Foster and he is visiting the Bulldogs over the weekend.

Other notable players at Hillcrest include 2020 guard Kyree Walker and Keon Edwards, though Arizona is not showing a huge amount of interest in either at this time.

While in Phoenix the Wildcats also visited Millenium big man DaRon Holmes. Holmes has an offer and is a player to watch for the Cats in the 2021 class.
