Although Arizona fell to Washington over the weekend the Wildcats did pick up a win on the recruiting trail. On Sunday Arizona received a commitment from 3-star linebacker Jabar Triplett.

Although Arizona fell to Washington over the weekend the Wildcats did pick up a win on the recruiting trail. On Sunday Arizona received a commitment from 3-star linebacker Jabar Triplett.

The 6-0, 215 pounder from Baton Rouge, LA chose Arizona over Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. As a junior he had 120 tackles, 11 sacks and three interceptions. Three of those picks were returned for scores.

“I’ll bring a great player and somebody willing to fight for it all and leave everything on the line," Triplett told the Delcon Times. "My style as a linebacker is free. I play sideline-to-sideline and make plays.”

Triplett made an official visit to Tucson for the Texas Tech game in September.

Arizona missed out on another recruit this week. Corner Back Nathan Floyd chose Texas Tech over Arizona and Missouri.
