PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Sitting at 2-5 overall usually doesn’t sit well with top level talent and that could be the case here. Pine Bluff’s Courtney Crutchfield decommitted from the Razorbacks on Saturday just before their game against Florida.

Crutchfield was Arkansas’ top ranked recruit for the 2024 class and was ranked no. 56 nationally by 247sports. He holds offers from Auburn, LSU, Missouri and Oklahoma. So far, he has recorded 35 receptions for 710 yards and nine touchdowns for the Zebras in 2023.

For a class with high expectations, this is something they will worry about later with having multiple problems against the Gators, blowing another 14-point lead in the first quarter.

IN HIS WORDS

“After thorough thinking and praying. I have decided to re-open my recruitment and de-commit from the University of Arkansas. You get one recruitment process and I want to take the time to carefully consider all of my options without restriction. I have the upmost respect for the Arkansas staff and appreciate them for everything. I have been blessed with several opportunities to play football and continue my education at some great universities. I hope that everyone will respect my decision as I do what is best for me and my family.”
