NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas rebounded from a tough loss against Arkansas-Pine Bluff with a 68-54 win over the Samford Bulldogs.

The Razorbacks found the same early struggles against the Bulldogs inside Simmons-Bank Arena. Leading scorer and four-time reigning SEC freshman of the week Taliah Scott was held without a field goal in the first half. Meanwhile, Samford guard Lexie Pritchard, brother of NBA guard Payton Pritchard, led all scorers with 10 points in the first half as the Bulldogs took advantage of a slow shooting start from the Razorbacks. The Hogs shot just 28.6% in the first quarter.

The Hogs somehow found themselves down 21-19, despite 14 Samford turnovers. The Razorbacks finally woke up in the final 3:50 of the half ending on a 10-0 run including a three from Makayla Daniels with three seconds left to lead 29-21 at the break.

Samford held Scott in check for most of the day and held her to single digits for the first time in her young career with just nine points. The scoring fell to the upperclassmen for the most part. Samara Spencer led the way with 20 points, joined by Makayla Daniels and Maryam Dauda with 14 and 11 points respectively.

Arkansas never truly pulled away, but kept it's double-digit lead throughout the entire fourth quarter and racked up 21 fouls on Samford, including 14 in the second half.

The Razorbacks will make a two-game trip to West Palm Beach Fla. The Hogs take on Illinois at 10 a.m. Dec .20. The game will be streamed on FloHoops.
