The Baylor football team will begin conference play on Sept. 24 at 11 a.m. Central Time when the Bears travel to Ames, Iowa to battle the Iowa State Cyclones in a Big 12 showdown.

The game will be televised live on either ESPN2 or ESPNU.

Baylor coach Dave Aranda and the Bears started the season in the top 10 for the first time in program history, with Blake Shapen and company getting plenty of hype heading into the team's 2022 campaign.

The Bears opened the year with a big win over Albany, 69-10, to jump to No. 9 in the nation.

However, Baylor ran into a major roadblock when the Bears fell in a 26-20 double-overtime thriller at then-No. 21 BYU in week 2.

BYU (2-0) climbed to No. 12 following the Cougars upset of the Bears.

Baylor (1-1) currently sits at No. 17 in the latest AP poll released on Sunday as the Bears return home to McLane Stadium to battle Texas State on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Kickoff for Saturday's game is slated for 11 a.m. Central Time and will be televised live on FS1 and will also be broadcast on 1660 AM and 92.3 FM, as the Bears aim to bounce back following week 2's heartbreaker.
