Dave Aranda and Baylor football's offense gets an elite playmaker in running back Bryson Washington, a three-star product who signed the dotted line on early signing day. Wilson is a 5'11", 200-pound product from Franklin, not too far from his new home in Waco.

Washington chose the Bears over Arkansas, SMU, Boston College, Iowa State, Houston, TCU, Texas Tech, Indiana, UNLV, UTSA, Western Kentucky and more.

Though he's signed to Baylor as a running back, Washington experienced success across the field while at 3A powerhouse Franklin. He received first-team all-state at defensive back and won district MVP twice.

Washington is also a two-time state champion in Texas, winning another title with Franklin just last week, 17-14 over Brock.

The versatile athlete was originally committed to SMU, posting his decision on June 12. After a June 17 visit to Baylor, though, it didn't take Washington long at all to re-nix with a commitment to the Bears on June 20.

"First, I want to start this off by thanking the SMU coaching staff for believing in me and my talents to compete at the next level," Washington said in a statement then. "After conversations with my family, I have decided to de-commit from SMU. Although I am making this move there's no love lost for SMU and the city of Dallas! I will now make my commitment to Baylor University."

Washington played on varsity during his freshman season as well and was named the district newcomer of the year. He brings four years of endless accolades to a Bears offense that has holes open for young contributors to star.
