One of the nation’s top prospects for the class of 2030 will take a game day visit to Boise State in September.

Wide receiver Moses Irwin, an incoming freshman at Idaho power Bishop Kelly High School, will make the short trip to Albertsons Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 19 for the Broncos’ matchup with South Dakota. Chris Van Sickle of 247Sports was the first to report the news of Irwin’s visits.

Boise’s Bishop Kelly finished a perfect 13-0 last year en route to the Class 5A state title. It was the Knights’ second championship in three seasons and ninth overall.

The 5-foot-10, 158-pound Irwin already holds more than a dozen Division I offers, including Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Washington. As an eighth-grader in May, Irwin ran the 100 meters in 10.8 seconds.

Irwin also has game day visits locked in for Washington (Sept. 12), Washington State (Sept. 26), Oregon (Oct. 10) and Alabama (Oct. 24).

On3 and 247Sports have yet to release their class of 2030 prospect rankings, but Irwin is expected to be rated a five-star recruit and the No. 1 player in Idaho.

The Broncos haven’t landed the No. 1 recruit in the Gem State since 2019 when four-star Declo athlete Keegan Duncan signed with Boise State over numerous suitors. Duncan transferred to Utah State after one season.

The top two class of 2026 prospects in Idaho headed southeast. Five-star Fruitland offensive lineman Kelvin Obot signed with Utah while four-star offensive lineman Jax Tanner of Rocky Mountain landed at BYU. Idaho’s No. 3 class of 2026 prospect was Rocky Mountain receiver Rasean Jones, who could start as a true freshman for Boise State.

Eagle offensive lineman Sione Perkins topped the 247Sports class of 2025 composite rankings for Idaho. Perkins, a three-star prospect, signed with Iowa State and is now at Northern Arizona.

The top three prospects in Idaho for the class of 2024 all left the state.

Five-star wide receiver Gatlin Bair committed to Boise State under head coach Andy Avalos but decommitted following his firing. Bair eventually signed with Oregon and will be a true freshman this season after serving a Latter-day Saints mission. Three-star recruits Rakeem Johnson of Bishop Kelly (Michigan State) and Camden DeGraw-Tryall of Coeur d’Alene (Washington State) also signed elsewhere.

2023 was the same as four-star Skyline athlete Kenyon Sadiq (Oregon), three-star Rocky Mountain tight end CJ Jacobsen (Utah) and three-star Rocky Mountain offensive lineman Jackson Fullmer (Kansas State) didn’t stay home. Sadiq was selected No. 16 overall by the New York Jets in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Idaho’s No. 1 class of 2022 prospect was four-star Gooding tight end Colston Loveland, who signed with Michigan. Loveland, another first-round pick, is entering his second season with the Chicago Bears.
