Boston College dropped two games this weekend to Denver at Magness Arena in Colorado 3-0 on Friday and 6-4 on Saturday evening. While the scores may seem lopsided, the Eagles battled and were in these games to the very end. Below is a recap of both of the games

Friday: Denver 3 Boston College 0

It was a goaltending showcase on Friday as Magnus Chrona stopped all 23 shots from the Eagles, while freshman Spencer Knight continued his hot start only allowing one goal. The big difference in the game was Luke McInnis's five minute game misconduct penalty for a cross check in the second period. Denver capitalized shortly after when Cole Guttman finished off a rebound in front of the net. With 90 seconds left in the game Jerry York removed Knight to get the extra attacker, but Denver capitalized with two empty netters to seal the victory.

Saturday: Denver 6 Boston College 4

Boston College responded quickly after the previous night's shutout with a goal seven minutes into the first period by Colorado Avalance draftee Alex Newhook. But Denver stormed back with two quick goals by Tyson McLellan and Jake Durflinger within a minute of each other to regain the lead. The Eagles tied the game when Aapeli Räsänen scored on a power play on an assist from David Cotton and Julius Mattila.

Denver piled on a trio of goals to jump ahead 5-2, which looked like it would be enough to put away the Eagles. Yet, in the third period goals by Jack McBain and Hardman brought the Eagles within one. Denver knocked in the final goal and that was all she wrote.
