Following a loss to Utah at the buzzer on Friday night, the Colorado Buffaloes women’s basketball program fell three spots to No. 11 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll. It breaks a fourteen-week stretch of being ranked inside the top 10. It’s also the lowest ranking for the Buffaloes since they began the season at No. 20.

There was no change to the top six spots in Monday’s release, with South Carolina remaining the unanimous No. 1, followed by Ohio State, Stanford, Iowa, Texas, and North Carolina State. After a pair of wins this weekend over Oregon and then No. 11 Oregon State, USC jumped three spots to No. 7 in this week’s poll. The Trojans are followed by Virginia Tech, Oregon State and Kansas State to round out the top 10.

The Pac-12 remains the top conference represented with six teams ranked in the top 25 poll, followed by the ACC and Big XII each with five.

JR Payne’s squad is coming off consecutive losses for the first time this season. They’ll look to right the ship when they take on No. 7 USC on Friday in los Angeles. The Buffaloes edged the Trojans 63-59 in Boulder last month. Colorado is 12-16 all-time against USC, but only 2-7 at the Galen Center since becoming a member of the Pac-12.
