After splitting a pair of games in Oregon last week, the Colorado Women’s Basketball team dropped three spots to No. 6 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

It’s the lowest ranking for the Buffs since Christmas, when they checked in at No. 8 in the nation. Colorado has been ranked inside the Top 10 for 12 consecutive weeks. They're also currently projected to be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, according to ESPN Bracketology.

Colorado (17-3, 7-2 Pac-12) is one of six Pac-12 teams in the rankings. They're joined by No. 4 Stanford, No. 7 UCLA, No. 15 USC, No. 18 Oregon State and No. 20 Utah.

Led by No. 5 NC State, who handed Colorado their first loss this season in November, the Atlantic Coast Conference also has six teams in this week’s Top 25. The Beavers, who had a pair of big wins over the Buffaloes and Utes this weekend, made the biggest jump in the poll, moving seven spots to No. 18.

South Carolina (19-0) retained the top spot after a 76-70 win over the defending champion LSU Tigers. They're joined by Kansas State (20-1) and Iowa (19-2) to round out the top three.

Colorado begins February on the road at Washington State Friday night, followed by a Sunday afternoon matchup against Washington. The Buffaloes also have four straight contests against ranked opponents in the heart of the month, which is sure to be a test for JR Payne's Buffs squad right before tournament time.
