J’Vonne Hadley scored a career high 24 points as Colorado made easy work of Washington 98-81 Wednesday night at Alaska Airlines Arena. It was their fourth straight win and first true road victory of the season. It was also the program’s first win at Washington since March 5, 2015. Colorado is now 3-14 all-time in Seattle.  

With the game back-and-forth to start, a Cody Williams layup broke a 21-21 tie with 8:28 remaining in the first half and the Buffaloes never looked back. Colorado led by as by as many as 21 points in the second half before closing with the 17-point victory. 

Both the Buffaloes (55.0%) and Huskies (54.1%) shot well from the field. The difference came at the free throw line. The Buffaloes were 26-28 from the charity stripe, while the Huskies were 10-18. Colorado also dominated Washington on the boards, outrebounding them 38-22. 

Eddie Lampkin Jr. finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. All five Colorado starters – Lampkin Jr., Hadley, Williams (19 points), KJ Simpson (16 points), and Tristan da Silva (10 points) – finished in double-figures. 

"I thought our guys really came together tonight," Buffaloes head coach Tad Boyle said. "I told them for the last two days that now is the time to go get a road win — and they went out and did it. They played with great toughness, overcame some adversity early and were really dialed in."

NEXT UP: Colorado (15-5, 6-3 Pac-12) will next travel to Pullman, Wash. to take Washington State Saturday. The Buffaloes have won five of their last six against the Cougars. Game time is set for 5pm ET and can be seen on Pac-12 Networks. 

Washington (11-9, 3-6 Pac-12) will next host Utah on Saturday night.
