ESPN analyst says Colorado may have the worst roster in the country

Buffaloes ready to prove them wrong this weekend

After Mark Schlabach took shots at Deion Sanders last week, another ESPN analyst went out of his way to say the Colorado Buffaloes might have the worst FBS roster.

Tom Luginbill went on the record with his unfounded prediction on Monday saying, "You thought UMass was the worst roster in college football. It may be Colorado."

The comments even got a response from Coach Prime asking, "Have you been here to see any of the talent live?"

Colorado upgraded from last year's disaster in record time and still gets disregarded. You can't have the best two-way player in the country and say the roster is at the bottom. Not to mention, a highly-skilled QB in Shedeur Sanders to go along with an outstanding crew of receivers. The Buffs defense isn't too shabby either.

A melting pot roster composed of mostly four-and-five-star talents on both sides of the ball. At the end of the day, Luginbill is paid to give his opinion, but this is a reach. Ask the Hall-of-famers who've made a stop in Boulder to visit Sanders what they saw. I bet it would be the polar opposite of what anyone currently has to say at ESPN.

Colorado looks to shock the world starting in Fort Worth this weekend. A meeting with 17th-ranked TCU on Sept. 2 at noon ET.
