Ron Rivera was asked about Eric Bieniemy's command of the offense in Washington. He was forthcoming about what the players have complained about when it comes to the two-time Super Bowl winning offensive coordinator, saying his coaching style was a bit harsh.

"I had a number of guys come to me, and I said, 'Hey, just go talk to him'." Rivera said.

"'Understand what he's trying to get across to you.' I think as they go and they talk and they listen to him. It's been enlightening for a lot of these guys."

Bieniemy dives into his first year with Washington after a decade as OC for the Kansas City Chiefs. A highly successful run with control of the play calling duties and guiding MVP QB Patrick Mahones. The former Colorado Buffaloes standout was passed up for several head coaching opportunities in the NFL and landed under Rivera in Washington.

"He's loud," Rivera said on Tuesday morning.

"The beauty of Eric is the perspective he has. He's been with an organization that does some things differently. He's very staunch about the way that he does things. That's something that's been different. I appreciate it because we're out of our comfort zone. We're doing things a little bit differently. I've been doing things, for the most part, the same way for 12 years."

Rivera isn't afraid to ruffle some feathers and acknowledges that Bieniemy's coaching style is a difference maker. It could be the same reason why he made his way out of KC. Whatever the reason, it's a winning formula the Commanders hope to adopt going into a new era.
