Facing off against two fringe tournament teams in its last two appearances, Florida's proven game while being led by a dynamic offensive attack. However, Friday's matchup is another step up the ladder on the opponent scale as a legitimate contender sits on the horizon.

Series history: The Gators hold an all-time 1-2 record against the Bears. In the last matchup against Baylor in Jan. 2020, as part of the erstwhile Big 12/SEC Challenge, Florida fell at home 72-61 to Scott Drew's top-ranked program.
