Gators 2023 Signees Thomas Haugh and Alex Condon Enroll at Florida

Gators forward Thomas Haugh and center Alex Condon arrived on campus Monday for the Summer A term.

Florida Hoops' class of 2023 signees have officially made their way to Gainesville in time to enroll for the Summer A term.

Thomas Haugh and Alex Condon arrived at the University on Monday, according to a Twitter post by the Florida Gators Men's Basketball account, where they moved into their dorms as the summer practice regimen nears.

The duo's presence is slated to mark a new era in the Florida frontcourt, transitioning into what Todd Golden and Co. will pursue during their tenure with the Gators.

Haugh, a three-star recruit out of Pennsylvania, marked the first major recruiting win of the staff's first full cycle at UF. Pledging to the Gators on June 29, he aligned himself as an early foundational piece for the program Golden attempted to assemble.

Despite Florida's rocky road traveled during the 2022-23 season, he remained firm in his commitment.

Equipped with excellent length and athleticism at 6-foot-9, 200 pounds, the Perkiomen School product showcases valuable defensive upside with a growing offensive game to become a two-way stretch-four at UF.

Condon presents a similar skillset at the five, given his advancements defensively with the length needed to excel as a rim protector. His offensive game remains a work in progress, but functional athleticism and an ability to run the floor will allow some production as he grows more polished in the halfcourt, where Florida looks to utilize its bigs in a voluminous capacity.

Standing 6-foot-11, 230 pounds, the Perth, Australia, native committed to Florida following its upset victory over No. 2 Tennessee in Gainesville, the highlight victory of Golden's first campaign.

The staff is high on his ability to contribute early and often during his career at Florida. They consider Condon as a potential NBA Draft prospect in the future.

The Summer A arrival will allow the Gators to develop the two new high-upside pieces. Assistant Carlin Hartman, who works directly with big men, will be in charge of eliciting their growth to bolster the unit's depth in year two of new leadership.

Haugh and Condon join guard Walter Clayton Jr., forward EJ Jarvis and centers Micah Handlogten and Tyrese Samuel as newcomers to the Florida roster for the 2023-24 season.
