Former Colorado Buffaloes cornerback commit Ju'Juan Johnson has locked in an official visit to Gainesville for June 9-11, according to On3Sports.

The trip will mark his second trek to the University of Florida since his Dec. 27 offer, following up his one-day stay with the Gators staff on Jan. 14.

He simultaneously announced a visit to Ole Miss for June 18-20 on Thursday.

Possessing elite-level athleticism at the prep level, Johnson has served in a versatile role, resulting in an uber-productive campaign as a focal point in the Lafayette Christian Academy offense. He produced 3,976 yards and 43 touchdowns through the air while adding 1,284 yards and 17 additional scores rushing as a junior in 2022.

Despite his production in that area, Johnson is expected to align as a defensive back collegiately. His skill set suggests a quick, smooth transition to that role despite limited time there in high school.

Prior to his commitment to Deion Sanders' Buffaloes on Feb. 4, Johnson included the Gators in his top three schools alongside Colorado and LSU. He cited his relationship with Corey Raymond as a significant pull toward UF.

Florida remains at the forefront of his newly reopened recruitment as a result.

The Gators are looking to stockpile talent in the secondary during the 2024 cycle. Already holding two commitments at safety — Xavier Filsaime and Josiah Davis — with several others trending toward UF, Raymond and Co. will look to Johnson to occupy a spot as a boundary corner.

Fellow Lousiana natives Wardell Mack and Jalyn Crawford align as other top targets at cornerback.

To pin Johnson down in their class, Florida will have to pluck him away from his home-state LSU squad. The Tigers have quickly assumed control as the expected leader for his services following his return to the open market.
