The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Coleman is considered the No. 4 wide receiver and No. 11 overall prospect in the class of 2024 by the 247Sports composite rankings.
Coleman clocked a 4.46-second 40-yard dash and produced a 10-foot, eight-inch broad jump at Under Armour’s Atlanta-area recruiting camp in Feb. 2023, leading to a surge in the prospect rankings. He hauled in 31 passes for 542 yards and six touchdowns as a junior at Central in the months prior.
Florida, Texas, Tennessee, LSU, Clemson and Ole Miss are among the schools that have come calling with scholarship offers since his emergence on the recruiting scene. The Gators offered Coleman on March 7, leading to his May 23 trek to UF.
Coleman has officially visited Clemson, Auburn and Texas A&M this summer and will be at LSU this weekend. He has yet to schedule an official visit to Florida.
The Gators currently have one wide receiver commitment in the class of 2024, from Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day's Izaiah Williams, and a tight end pledge in the form of Portal (Ga.) High's Amir Jackson.
