Elite WR Joshisa Trader Planning to Officially Visit Florida

South Florida star Joshisa "Jojo" Trader sees Florida's passing attack coming around under Billy Napier.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- It wasn't hard to find Joshisa "Jojo" Trader among the stars at the Overtime OT7 7-on-7 tournament in the Orlando area over the weekend.

The South Florida Express star, who preps at state champion Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna, made plays throughout the two-day event at wide receiver.

Despite his five-star two-way ability, most programs covet Trader on offense — which is also his preference. Florida has been in the mix for some time after offering in June 2022 and remains in the hunt.

"They have a good receiver reputation and I feel like they're going to bring it back," Trader told All Gators. "I talk to Billy Napier. He's a cool coach, too. Calm and collected."

UF, of course, has had some turnover on Napier's offensive staff, including at wide receivers coach. While newly-hired Billy Gonzales has yet to connect with Trader on the Gators' behalf as of the weekend, the interest remains.

The elite talent confirmed Florida as an official visit destination, although dates are still to be determined.

Time is on Florida's side in this heavy race, which also involves Ohio State, Florida State, Miami and Tennessee at this point. Trader won't make a public verbal commitment until the end of the year, a timeline he has stuck with since initially becoming coveted as an underclassman.

"I'm still waiting," he said. "After the season, I'm going to commit."

Trader is considered a consensus five-star prospect and is currently ranked as the No. 3 wide receiver in the class of 2024 by 247Sports. He produced 47 receptions for 473 yards and seven touchdowns offensively and an interception defensively as a junior.
