Report: JUCO DL Planning to Officially Visit Florida

In this story:
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Hoping to restock its defensive line in the class of 2024 following the loss of multiple commitments on the front, Florida will host junior college defensive lineman Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder on an official visit in the coming weeks, the prospect told Blake Alderman of 247Sports on Thursday.
Alcorn-Crowder received a scholarship offer from the Gators on Monday, two days removed from UF losing the pledge of Picayune (Miss.) Memorial edge rusher Jamonta Waller to Auburn. Two days later, on Wednesday, Dublin (Ga.) High interior lineman Nasir Johnson flipped to Georgia.
Additionally, Florida lost the commitment of interior lineman, Michai Boireau of Hampton (Ga.) Creekside, on Sept. 11.
Although a date for his official trip to Gainesville has yet to be finalized, Alcorn-Crowder intends to visit UF after the conclusion of the regular season. It will mark Alcorn-Crowder's second trek to The Swamp as a recruit, per Alderman, following an unofficial visit during his high school career.
"I plan on taking one to Florida. I plan on taking one to Cincinnati. I like the coaches out there. I don't have anything set in stone or anything though. Going to have those next week," Alcorn-Crowder told Alderman.
A 6-foot-6, 297-pound native of Whitman (Mass.), Alcorn-Crowder joined Butler Community College from the class of 2022 as an unranked prospect from Whitman-Hanson Regional High.
Alcorn-Crowder is considered the No. 8 defensive lineman and No. 23 overall prospect from the junior college level in the recruiting class of 2024, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Following one season at Butler C.C., in which he has produced 28 tackles, seven sacks, 10 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles in nine games, Alcorn-Crowder will have three seasons of eligibility remaining at the collegiate level.
