Standing at 6-foot-5, 292 pounds, Mascoll has the potential to present valuable depth across the Florida line of scrimmage over the next several seasons.
Once deemed a hidden gem by head coach Billy Napier and offensive line coaches Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton in the early days of his recruitment, Mascoll showcases the versatility needed to occupy a role at guard and/or tackle positions within the Florida offense depending on need.
He’s proved such at the prep level as an overpowering mauler in the trenches. Mascoll is considered the nation’s No. 36 offensive tackle and No. 471 overall player in the 2024 cycle.
While he was initially pitched a tackle role by the Gators, his ability to occupy either spot presented intrigue for both sides, as his potential for playing time increases due to his positional fluidity.
He’ll likely undergo a development year or two — contingent on the position he assumes — but the impressive physical traits and run-blocking background Mascoll sports bode well for an eventual move into the lineup, especially in the run-first attack UF operates under ideal circumstances.
Mascoll succeeds fellow Gators commits Fletcher Westphal and Noel Portnjagin, as well as San Diego State tackle transfer Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson, in putting pen to paper on their letter of intent Wednesday. Maryland-based offensive tackle pledge Mike Williams is expected to join the trio at Noon ET.

Despite calling LSU his leader throughout the process, Mascoll opted for the Gators over the Tigers on commitment day to provide Florida with its third offensive lineman in the class at the time. A left tackle on tape who plays some of the top competition in the Peach State regularly, Mascoll is slightly undersized for the position compared to other tackles UF has recruited, but coaches Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton have floated the possibility of him manning a hybrid role between the tackle and guard positions. A blocker who plays with ample brute strength, Mascoll also displays his muscle in track and field throwing events for his high school.
