Blue-Chip OT Target Schedules Official Visit to Florida Gators

In this story:
Compiling 21 commitments in the 2024 class before August, the Florida Gators sit comfortably within the cycle. As they hold 21 of their desired 25 recruits already, the regular season recruiting efforts will largely commence their look forward into 2025.
However, a handful of 2024 targets remain for the Gators, namely at positions of need like cornerback and offensive line.
On Friday, one of those select pieces UF still covets, IMG Academy offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, laid out his six-stop official visit schedule for this fall, according to On3 Sports. He’s slated to take a multi-day stay in Gainesville on the weekend Florida hosts Tennessee in The Swamp, Sept. 16-18.
The tour will also include trips to LSU (Sept. 9-11), Oklahoma (Sept. 30-Oct. 1), Ohio State (Oct. 6-8), Oregon (Nov. 10-12) and South Carolina (Nov. 18-20).
His only official visit to date came during the June 9-11 weekend to Alabama.
Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton have long sought after the IMG Academy standout, dating back to his Jan. 20 offer earlier this year.
Possessing a notable mean streak and business-like attitude when on the field to pair with elite-level athleticism for a 6-foot-5, 295-pound tackle, Seaton brings the intangibles Florida is looking for when stacking talent at the position.
Despite a somewhat late arrival to the recruitment party, both sides built a strong rapport on Seaton’s unofficial visit to campus in May. It’s aligned the Gators as a serious contender for the services of the blue-chip talent when his recruitment process comes to a close.
If Seaton were to join the fold in the Gators' No. 3 2024 recruiting class, he’d further bolster the team’s offensive tackle corps as it currently yearns for both quality and quantity in its depth pieces.
He’d join Fletcher Westphal, Marcus Mascoll and Mike Williams at the spot, although he and Mascoll’s versatility provide potential plug-ins for the entire line, not merely the exterior. However, the Gators target him primarily to fulfill the former.
Seaton is considered the No. 2 offensive tackle and No. 38 overall player in the class, per On3 Sports’ consensus rankings.
There is no known timetable for Seaton’s pledge.
