Two under-the-radar recruitments are nearing their end.

Florida State University School (Tallahassee, Fla.) products and Florida Gators targets Ashton Hampton and Micahi Danzy will announce their collegiate destinations on July 15, each shared on Tuesday via Twitter.

Between the two, Hampton is viewed as the player Florida holds a better chance to land with his process coming to a close.

The defensive back prospect took an official visit to campus June 9-11, further developing a rapport with the coaches and other prospective recruits on one of three action-packed official visit weekends for Billy Napier's staff in June.

It was the second of four summer visits for Hampton, also taking trips to Clemson, Miami and Arkansas.

While Dabo Swinney's Tigers have made a late surge to become the arguable top contender for his services, secondary coach Corey Raymond and defensive coordinator Austin Armstrong remain steadfast in their recruitment efforts of the talented in-state DB.

Doing so would equip the Gators with a versatile secondary prospect who can perform on the boundary or join current commits Xavier Filsaime and Josiah Davis as the future of the Florida backend in the 2024 commitment class.

On the other hand, his high school teammate will be an even more difficult target to reel into the class at this stage.

The hometown Florida State Seminoles are considered major favorites in recruiting Danzy, with the Gators playing as a distant second. 

Having taken an official visit to Mike Norvell's program June 23-25, his only multi-day stay of the summer, it's expected Danzy will stay in Tallahassee to continue his football career come July 15.

However, after losing running back Chauncey Bowens to Georgia on June 10, the Gators have re-entered the market for a back to fill the void in Jabbar Juluke's position room. Danzy is a long-standing option at the position, despite a bodily makeup and skillset that deviates from what Juluke has pursued since he arrived in Gainesville. 

It dates back to his February offer from Florida.

As a result, he could receive a full-court press in the coming nine days as UF attempts to persuade him away from FSU. Even then, it's a steep hill to climb.
