Five-star Georgia tight end commit Elyiss Williams is scheduled to visit the University of Florida on Saturday, Jan. 27, On3 Sports' Corey Bender reported on Monday.

The Camden County High School (Kingsland, Ga.) standout has been committed to the Bulldogs since April 2023. The unofficial trek will be Williams' first to Gainesville during his recruitment process.

The Gators have taken just one tight end, Portal (Ga.) pass-catcher Amir Jackson, from the high school ranks over the past two cycles after acquiring three — Arlis Boardingham, Hayden Hansen and Tony Livingston — during head coach Billy Napier's transition class in 2022.

As a result, the position commanded by assistant Russ Callaway is being prioritized in the 2025 cycle. Several spots are open to be occupied. Williams is aligned atop Florida's wishlist of candidates to fill one of the vacancies in the room.

Standing at a reported 6-foot-7, 235 pounds, Williams brings a rare mixture of size and athleticism to the table as a multi-faceted tight-end prospect who can serve as a dynamic blocker against the run and a jump-ball target in the passing game.

He also showcased his ability to win at the top of his route against smaller defensive backs and slower linebackers in man coverage with a knack for finding and sitting in space when the opposition deploys a zone look.

In Florida's system, which utilizes two types of tight ends, Williams could see time at both Y, a traditional, block-first player, and H, a mismatch, pass-catching prospect, depending on varying packages.

The versatility at a position of need considerably boosts his standing as a top target for the Gators.

Callaway will accordingly attempt to build a strong foundational rapport with the nation's top-ranked tight end and No. 13 overall player in the 2025 class, per 247Sports Composite, in the inaugural face-to-face encounter on Saturday.
