Super Bowl LVIII is officially stamped after an exciting weekend of conference championship games. The Kansas City Chiefs will be in pursuit of their second straight title when they face off with the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas on February 11.

That means Florida State will be represented in the big game for the tenth straight year with former Seminole standout Derrick Nnadi on the Chiefs. Nnadi is searching for his third ring after originally being drafted by the franchise back in 2018.

Unfortunately, Nnadi won't be able to suit up for the contest after being placed on Injured Reserve a couple of days ago. He's been dealing with a triceps injury that he suffered in Kansas City's opening playoff win over the Miami Dolphins.

The Virginia native has developed into a consistent starter for the Chiefs during his professional career. Nnadi has appeared in 98 games, with 86 starts, while totaling 222 tackles, seven tackles for loss, five sacks, one forced fumble, one interception, and two pass deflections. His best statistical season came in 2019 as he recorded 48 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, one interception, and one pass deflection as the team won its first championship in 50 years.

Nnadi spent his college career at Florida State under former head coach Jimbo Fisher. He became a crucial member along the defensive line while earning All-ACC honors in 2017. Nnadi appeared in 48 games, with 37 starts, and totaled 165 tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 12 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and three pass deflections.
