Daquan Davis without a question has been doing his thing at Over Time Elite.

Currently, last year's District of Columbia High School Basketball Player of the Year is leading the league in assists with 6.0 assists per game and is also playing the second most minutes per game, 33.8. That's not all! Davis is top 6 in two other categories, scoring and steals, averaging 17.8 ppg. (6th) and 1.9 (4th) steals per game.

The 2024 Yellow Jacket hoops target received his official offer to The Flats on December 31. Prior to receiving his offer to Tech, Davis was a hard commit to Providence University but decided to re-open his recruitment last October.

Currently at OTE, Rode Wave Elite (RWE) has had a "yo-yo" type season at OTE finding themselves in the middle of the pack with an overall record of 5-6; however, RWE is on a 1-game winning streak, defeating the Blue Checks, 99-80 this past Tuesday. In the win Davis was scorching, tallying 27 points on 55.6% shooting (5-8 3PT FG), and just two assists shy of a double-double with 8 assists. This season the 18-year-old has been exceptional in shooting the ball from behind the arc, knocking down 36.8% from deep.

RWE has one of the most talented rosters in the league, having 5 different players in league-leading statistical categories. There is one of the three teams to hand the No. 1 team YNG Dreamers a loss this season.

Aside from being a highly skilled guard, what's most impressive to me is Davi's ability to command respect on the court from not just his teammates but also from his competitors. Watch Davis's Mic'd Up to get a feel for what could possibly be coming to The Flats.
