Miami got two big commitments this week for the 2024 class

It has been another busy week in the ACC recruiting landscape as teams are chasing Florida State in hopes of landing the conference's top recruiting class.

The Seminoles made waves last week not just in the ACC, but nationally, when they went into Georgia and got a commitment from five-star safety K.J. Bolden. While Florida State still holds the top class in the conference, it was their rival that had the biggest week in terms of commitments.

Miami has been trailing Florida State and Clemson for much of the 2024 cycle, but they are working hard to change that and they took a big step in doing so last weekend when they flipped four-star edge Elias Rudolph from Michigan.

Rudolph had been a part of the Wolverines class, which is one of the nation's best, but the Hurricanes had been working hard to flip him. Rudolph held other offers from Pitt, Arkansas, Boston College, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas A&M, and Tennessee, among others. He is ranked as the No. 300 prospect on the 247Sports composite.

Miami also got a commitment from three-star offensive tackle Kavion Broussard, who plays at Zachary High School in Louisiana. Broussard had offers from Missouri, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and TCU, among others. Broussard is a high-ceiling developmental tackle, but he could pay off for Miami in the future. Broussard is the No. 638 prospect on the 247Sports Composite.

Miami was not the only ACC school that got big commitments this week.

Pitt has been a good landing spot for defensive linemen with Pat Narduzzi at the helm and they landed a talented prospect in three-star defensive lineman Sincere Edwards, who plays at Wekiva High School in Florida. Edwards is ranked as the No. 544 player nationally on the 247Sports Composite and holds offers from UCF, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Duke, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Kentucky, and NC State, among others.

NC State landed a talented receiver this week that bumped them up a couple of spots in the ACC recruiting rankings on 247Sports. Wide receiver Terrell Anderson, who plays at Grimsley High School, committed to the Wolfpack this week, now giving them the No. 9 class in the ACC. Anderson is a four-star wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite and the No. 326 prospect in the country. He committed to NC State over offers from Auburn, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Michigan, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Penn State, TCU, UCF, Virginia Tech, Washington, and West Virginia, among others.

NC State, Miami, and Pitt were clear winners this week. There could be more commitments next week as the season gets closer.
