BREAKING: Georgia Tech Gets Commitment From 2024 Linebacker Caleb Dozier

Georgia Tech has just picked up a commitment for its 2024 class.

Caleb Dozier, who played at Headland High School in Alabama, announced his commitment to Brent Key and the Yellow Jackets today. Dozier, who de-committed from Mississippi State last week, was in Atlanta for an official visit last weekend.

Dozier is a 6'3 225 LBS linebacker who is rated a three-star player on 247Sports. The 247Sports Composite has Dozier rated as the No. 1156 player in the country, the 104th athlete in the country, and the No. 50 player in the state of Alabama.

The other offers that Dozier held were from Mississippi State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, Houston, Troy, UAB, and UCF.

The Early Signing Period is almost a week out and coaches are out on the road recruiting, doing home visits, and having their top prospects and transfers on campus for visits. It is closing time and for Georgia Tech, they are looking to add to their 2024 class, which currently ranks 38th in the country on 247Sports. They did that today with the addition of Dozier.

Georgia Tech had a big recruiting weekend, hosting some of their top remaining targets, as well as transfer portal targets. They are still busy sending out offers as well and they made two interesting ones over the weekend.

Mekhi Mews is a transfer wide receiver from the University of Georgia and he announced on social media yesterday that he has been offered by the Yellow Jackets. Mews was an electric player on special teams for the Bulldogs this season and did have a punt return for a touchdown. He also caught 13 passes for 155 yards and a touchdown. He was originally a walk at UGA. Keep an eye on Mews and other transfers that Georgia Tech will look to add.
