BREAKING: Georgia Transfer Linebacker E.J. Lightsey Commits to and Signs with Georgia Tech
It is the first day of the early signing period and Georgia Tech made a big addition this morning by getting a linebacker from their archrivals.
Georgia transfer linebacker E.J. Lightsey was announced as a signee for the Yellow Jackets this morning, making him Georgia Tech's eighth transfer.

2022: Saw action as a reserve LB in four games...made his collegiate debut in win over Samford...credited with one solo tackle vs. the Bulldogs...also played in wins over Auburn, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech...had two stops vs. the Commodores.

Lightsey is going to join Louisville transfer linebacker Jackson Hamilton and look to come in and fill a position of need for the Yellow Jackets. Georgia Tech had one of the worst rushing defenses in the country this season and needed an upgrade at the linebacker position. Georgia Tech is also losing Paul Moala, Braelen Oliver, and Andre White Jr.
