Georgia Tech and 2024 Defensive Tackle Marcus Downs Part Ways
Georgia Tech added a member to its 2024 recruiting class yesterday when in-state defensive back Cedric Franklin joined the class, but one player left the class today and that was defensive tackle Marcus Downs, who played at Riverside High School in Greer, South Carolina.
Downs is a three-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite, the No. 62 defensive tackle in the country, and the No. 8 player in the state of South Carolina. He is ranked the No. 609 prospect in the country.
Other offers for Downs included Auburn, North Carolina, Miami, LSU, Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, and Kentucky, among others.
Georgia Tech's 2024 class currently ranks 32nd in the nation on 247Sports.
