Georgia Tech Makes The Top Ten For Four-Star Wide Receiver Taz Williams Jr

Williams is one of the top wide receivers in the entire country for the 2025 class

Georgia Tech is in the running for four-star 2025 wide receiver Taz Williams Jr and in the top ten that he released on his social media this afternoon, Georgia Tech was among those schools.

Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida State, Texas A&M, Baylor, SMU, and Penn State were the other schools that made Williams top ten.

Williams Jr is ranked as a four-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite and he is ranked as the No. 244 prospect in the country, the No. 29 wide receiver, and the No. 41 prospect in the state of Texas.

The offer list for Williams is impressive. Alabama, Auburn, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, Kansas, Louisville, Miami, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin, among others.

Georgia Tech wide receivers coach Josh Crawford has done a good job of developing talent so far during his time in Atlanta and a good job on the recruiting trail. As a true freshman, Eric Singleton Jr became the go-to target for the offense and was one of the best young receivers in the country. Other players such as Malik Rutherford, Christian Leary, and Dominick Blaylock saw increased production under Crawford during the 2023 season.

Crawford also landed four-star wide receiver Isiah Canion in the 2024 recruiting cycle. It was a big win for Georgia Tech flipping him from Notre Dame and I think he is going to be a good player in the future for the Yellow Jackets.

Georgia Tech has yet to get a commitment for the 2025 class, but it is very early and Brent Key and his staff will work to have a strong 2025 class.
