Georgia Tech picks up commitment from 2024 cornerback Cedric Franklin
Georgia Tech has picked up commitment No. 26 today in their 2024 recruiting class.
Cedric Franklin, a 6'1 180 LBS defensive back prospect who plays at Kell High School in the state of Georgia, committed to the Yellow Jackets today. Franklin recently was committed to ACC foe Virginia but backed off of that pledge last week. Franklin also has other offers from Boston College, BYU, Indiana, Liberty, Memphis, Missouri, USF, and West Virginia.
Things had been quiet for Georgia Tech on the recruiting front until a couple of weeks ago when four-star defensive end C.J. Jackson de-committed from Georgia Tech and later committed to LSU. Franklin is a talented defensive back and if given time to develop, he can become a starting caliber player in the ACC.
Franklin is rated a three-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite and the No. 1272 player in the country.
Georgia Tech's 2024 class currently ranks 30th in the nation on 247Sports.
