ESPN NFL Draft expert Mel Kiper released his fourth crack at a 2024 Mock Draft on Wednesday morning with updated predictions for this month's NFL Draft.

Throughout the draft process, Kiper and other scouting experts have been very high on Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. That trend continued with Kiper bumping Mitchell up to the #12 overall pick, in his mind. That would send Mitchell to the Denver Broncos in the first round.

"Denver can look to improve a defense that ranked 30th in yards per play allowed (5.8) last season and pair Mitchell with Pat Surtain...He's ready to play early and often as a rookie," Kiper said of Mitchell.

If Kiper's predictions were to become reality, Mitchell would be the second defensive prospect off of the board after Alabama outside linebacker Dallas Turner (#8 overall), the first defensive back selected, and the only G5 prospect to go in the first round.

Mitchell had 46 pass breakups and six interceptions in his four-year career at Toledo that included the 2022 MAC Championship.

The 2024 NFL Draft is set to begin on April 25 in Detroit, Michigan.
