Benedict receives a unanimous vote in the recent BOXTOROW HBCU DII Coaches Poll ahead of Week 11.

The Tigers are undefeated on the season and will play No. 6 Albany State for the SIAC championship. The Golden Rams defeated No. 10 Fort Valley State in the Fountain City Classic in Columbus, Ga. in front of almost 19,000 in attendance.

Meanwhile, No. 2 Virginia Union defeated No. 4 Virginia State to advance to the CIAA championship game on Saturday in Salem, Va. The Panthers will take on defending champion Fayetteville State ranked No. 3 this week, who has won eight-straight games, including defeating Virginia Union 10-7 in Week 4 on a field goal with :06 remaining in Richmond, Va.

All of the teams remained the same from last week, with the order being different. ASU made the most significant jump, moving up four spots, while FVSU dropped five spots.
