HBCU Legacy Bowl Alum, Andrew Farmer II Elevated To Chargers 53-Man Roster

Lane defensive star has been elevated to the Los Angeles Chargers 53-man roster.

Ian Rapoport and agent TRI Sport Agency reported that the Los Angeles Chargers promoted Andrew Farmer II from the practice squad to its 53-man roster. The Chargers decided to elevate Farmer after placing defensive end Joey Bosa (foot sprain) on injured reserve. Farmer has one game appearance with a tackle recorded.

Farmer, 23, is an HBCU defensive star from Lane College. During the week at the 2023 HBCU Legacy Bowl, he proved to be one of the best players at the annual event. Andrew, 6-3 and 250 pounds, constantly pressured and harassed the quarterback during the game for Team Gaither. For the Lane Dragons, Farmer registered 114 total tackles, 17.5 sacks, 44 tackles for losses, five passes defended, and two forced fumbles.
