Howard Bison Earns First Trip To The Celebration Bowl

Howard University wins the 2023 MEAC Football Title and a trip to the 2023 Celebration Bowl.

Head coach Larry Scott and the Bison did the unthinkable last week in their statement-making payback victory against the 2022 HBCU National Champions from North Carolina Central. The "Real H.U." dealt a 50-20 knockout blow to the Eagles. On Sunday afternoon, NCCU secured an at-large berth in the first round of the 2023 FCS Playoff.

Howard's Bison team claimed a spot in the 2023 Celebration Bowl after winning the 2023 MEAC Football championship game against Morgan State, 14-7, in front of their home crowd. Coach Scott and his troops will await the 2023 SWAC Football Championship game-winner between FAMU and Prairie View A&M at Bragg Memorial Stadium on Dec. 2.

The MEAC holds a 6-1 lead in the Celebration Bowl.
