Jackson State vs. Mississippi Valley Game Postponed due to COVID-19

The SWAC announced the Jackson State University vs. Mississippi Valley State University football game scheduled for Feb. 27 would be postponed due to a positive COVID-19 test result.

I spoke with an MVSU representative who confirmed the postponement but could not elaborate on the student-athlete's prognosis and treatment.

MVSU paused their football activities, and the student-athlete will be quarantining. Its COVID-19 Advisory Committee established the SWAC's league protocols and guidelines which recommends game postponement.

The football contest is rescheduled and set for Sunday, March 14
