Southern University will battle Alabama State in SWAC Spring Opener

Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) showdown will showcase two longstanding conference powerhouses. The Alabama State University Hornets will play host to the Southern University Jaguars on Friday night. Tonight's kickoff is scheduled for 6 PM CT at ASU Stadium in Montgomery, AL.

The game will be both teams' SWAC openers for the spring schedule.

Southern and ASU have not battled since 2016. Southern defeated ASU 64-6 in that contest. The Jags lead 28-12 in the all-time series over the Hornets.
